Saudi-led coalition violates UN-declared truce in Yemen 132 times

The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces and their mercenaries committed 132 violations of the UN-brokered humanitarian and military truce during the past 24 hours, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported, citing a military source on Tuesday.

According to the source, the the coalition’s violations included 40 flights of armed reconnaissance and spy aircrafts in the airspace of Ma’rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, and Dhalea provinces and the border fronts.

He confirmed that the mercenaries of the aggression established new combat fortifications around the vicinity of the city of Ma’rib, and in Bir Basha and in al-Barah areas in Taiz province, next to al-Dahna Mosque in Dhalea province and in Dar al-Nasr in Jizan region.

The source said that 19 violations were recorded with artillery shells by the mercenaries on the sites of the army and popular committees in al-Balaq al-Sharqi, al-Rawdah, al-Akd and Mala’a in Ma’rib province, west of Haradh in Hajjah province, and al-Madafen and al-Malahidh areas in Saada province.

He said that the mercenaries targeted, with artillery, the sites of the army and popular committees in al-Amoud and Jabal Tawaleq areas in Jizan region and in Takhya and east of Araf in Asir region.

The source stated that 67 violations were recorded by shooting at the citizens’ houses and the sites of the army and popular committees in Ma’rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada and Dhalea provinces and the border fronts.
