The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces and their mercenaries committed 83 violations of the UN-brokered humanitarian and military truce during the past 24 hours, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported, citing a military source on Wednesday.
According to the source, the the coalition’s violations included 22 flights of armed reconnaissance and spy planes in the airspace of the provinces of Ma’rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, and Dhalea, and the border fronts.
The source confirmed that the coalition forces have established combat fortifications around the city of Ma’rib, while 13 violations were recorded, with artillery shelling by the coalition mercenaries on the sites of the army and the popular committees in Al-Balaq Al-Sharqi, Al-Rawdah and Mala’a in Ma’rib, Haradh district in Hajjah, and Al-Madafin and Al-Malahidh areas in Saada.
The coalition forces targeted, with artillery, the positions of the army and committees in Jabal Tawaleq area in Wadi Jarah in Jizan, and Takhya in Asir, the source added.
The source stated that 47 breaches were recorded by shooting at the homes of citizens and the sites of the army and the popular committees in the provinces of Ma’rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea, and the border fronts.
It is worth noting that the coalition forces committed 6,322 violations during the past two months of the UN armistice period before its extension.
