One dead and four wounded in attack on hospital in Taiz

At least one person was killed and four others wounded in an armed attack targeted a hospital in central of Taiz city, southwest Yemen, on Wednesday.

Local sources reported that an armed gang led by Jalal Asaj and Mubarak al-Wafi, believed to be affiliated with the Islah Party, stormed Riyadh Hospital in Bir Basha area, and opened fire at random tat employees and patients.

The sources explained that the attack resulted in the killing of a hospital guard and the injury of four hospital staff members, including the general manager.

The reason for the seemingly random attack was not yet clear at the moment of publication.
