Locals in Hodeidah storm barracks after 6 girls raped by UAE-backed mercenaries

The UAE-backed militias have raped six girls in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, local and human rights sources reported on Thursday.

According to the sources, members of Bassam al-Mihadhar brigade stationed in several areas in the district of Hays, raped six girls, including 2 sisters.

Following the incident, the families of the girls, the citizens met and stormed the al-Sawehirrah School, which the UAE-backed militias have turned  into a military barrack  for  Al-Mihadhar Brigade and clashed with individuals.

These forces responded by carrying out raids on houses and arresting citizens, including the families of the girls.

The sources pointed out that dozen of girls have been raped in these areas when they go outside in search for firewood, grazing and fetching water.
