UAE actively trying to spread drugs in occupied Socotra, report claims

Informed sources on Sunday revealed the existence of an operation to promote hashish and other drugs in the Yemeni Socotra archipelago province, controlled by the UAE.

The sources confirmed that one of the elements brought in by the UAE from Dhalea province and Yafea area, was found in his possession the narcotic substance “Shabu”, mixed with a bag of tobacco, which is widely spread in the southern provinces.

The sources reported that shabu is used by most elements of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on the island and the rest of the southern province, after being mixed with some types of tobacco.

The Saudi-led coalition countries have flooded the southern provinces with various types of hashish and other drugs, which have spread widely amongst the youth as part of the occupation army’s attempt at submitting the population of the area.
