Six children wounded by Saudi cluster ammunition

At least six children were injured on Monday when a cluster bomb left by the Saudi-led coalition forces exploded in Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen.

The Executive Mine Action Centre, said that six children were injured while grazing their sheep, as a result of the explosion of a cluster bomb left over by the coalition forces in Bani Hassan, Abs directorate.

The center said that in the past five days, eight children have been registered victims of cluster bombs in Abs district, bringing the total number of casualties in the directorate to 14.

The center recorded dozens of casualties as a result of the explosion of remnants of mines and cluster bombs this month, due to the lack of access to the necessary equipment to clear the infested areas.
