The UAE  occupation has sent a number of foreign engineers and pilots, including Israelis, to the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra, located in the Indian Ocean.

Local media sources reported this step came through the Khalifa Foundation to inaugurate a new runway for military aviation in Nougd area, south of the island.

The sources indicated that the runway established by the UAE in cooperation with the navy of the Zionist entity, was meant for military and reconnaissance combat helicopters, a month after the opening of a military airport in Hadibo with Zionist participation in 2020.
