President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, confirmed on Monday the readiness of the Sana’a forces to confront any escalation by the Saudi-led coalition.
Al-Mashat affirmed that the “new Hijri year will be the year of victory,” and said that “the military confrontations would be more dire because of the coalition parties’ preparation to escalate.”
This came in a speech he delivered during the military parade of the forces of the Fourth Military District in Dhamar province.
Al-Mashat praised the great efforts made by the Armed Forces and security units on “their wonderful performance and continued discipline in discharging responsibility in the face of unjust aggression, and in foiling all the attempts of the enemies on all fronts.”
“We launch this military parade in the fourth military region and will do everything in our power to continue building, training, modernising and developing our armed forces,” he said.
Al-Mashat explained that “the high readiness, training, qualification, awareness and insight of the armed forces are very important things in both war and peace.”
The President pointed out that the coalition used “propaganda, falsehood and misinformation as weapons in this battle,” noting that the Yemeni people’s weapon in confronting it would be patience, insight and awareness.
Al-Mashat addressed the graduates and all military units, saying: “All your blood shed on the soil of this country is for the sake of achieving complete independence and of restoring dignity to this great people.”
