A senior military commander affiliated with with the Islah Party (the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood) was mysteriously killed in Ma’rib province, northeastern Yemen.
This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.
According to sources, the director of security of Sirwah district and the commander of the Jahm Front, Colonel Abdullah al-A’qra al-Jamhi, was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED)’s explosion targeting him east of the directorate.
The sources stated that the blast also injured two of his companions, one of them in critical condition.
The attack comes as a part of internal conflicts between factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
