A senior leader of the Islah party (the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood) has admitted that the party leadership made a serious mistake, in joining the Saudi-led coalition and in refusing to listen to the advices of those defending the homeland alongside with the forces of Sana’a.
“The party’s remnant leaders deserve to be dismissed from the Saudi-led coalition-backed government, through decisions issued by the ‘Riyadh-formed Presidential Council’ because the party’s leadership in Riyadh refused to listen to the advices about making alliance with Sana’a forces and leaving the Saudi capital,” said Anis Mansour al-Subaihi, who is also the Head of the Hana Aden Center for Studies.

“Those who are covered by the Saudis will become naked,” Mansour said, referring to the fact that Saudi Arabia let down its allies.
Mansour noted that the fate of the Islah Party’s leaders will be imprisonment next to Saudi religious scholar Suleiman al-Awda, who was arrested by Saudi authorities in 2017 and has remained in prison ever since.
