Civilian killed, several wounded by Turkish occupation attacks on northeastern Syria

At least one civilian has been killed and several others sustained injuries when Turkish military forces struck areas controlled by militants affiliated with the Kurdish-led and so-called Syrian Democratic Forces [SDF] in Syria’s northeastern province of Hasaka, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Tuesday, citing local sources.

According to the local sources, the Turkish occupation forces bombed on Tuesday morning with artillery the village of al-Salmasa in Tal Tamir Township, claiming the life of a citizen displaced from the village of al-Sibatiyah, which is occupied by terrorist backed by the Turkish occupation.

Following that, two shells fired by a drone of Turkish occupation fell on neighborhoods of al-Mahmakia and al-Hizam al-Gharbi in Qamishli city causing material damage to the houses and infrastructure, the sources elaborated.

They noted “the occupation forces renewed shelling Qamishli city as two shells fell on Qanat al-Suweis neighborhood, injuring three children and three women”, adding that material damage occurred after artillery shelling targeted the villages of Tal Ziwan,Tal al-Shu’eer and Secrca in the vicinity of the city.

The Turkish occupation forces and the terrorist groups backed by them continue their attacks on safe villages and towns in the northern and northwestern countryside, as scores of civilians have been martyred and others have been injured, in addition to causing huge material damage to homes and properties.
