Central Military Court of Yemen begins high-profile military sabotage case

The Central Military Court held on Sunday a public session regarding the sabotage of missile and air defence systems by foreign agents.

The accused in this case are Ammar Muhammad Abdullah Saleh Al-Ahmar, former undersecretary of the National Security Agency, and several people of American nationality, under the supervision of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and President of Yemen at the time, Ali Abdullah Sale. They stand accused of deliberately destroying Yemen’s own missile defence systems on orders from the United States of America, in what katern turned out k be a preparation for the war waged by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen.

The court decided to grant the lawyers appointed on behalf of the accused a copy of the case file and to present their responses. It also decided to give the prosecution an opportunity to present its evidence during the next session.
