Mohammed Abdulsalam: Future of the truce depends on Saudi side

The head of the national delegation, Mohammad Abdulsalam, confirmed Saturday that the ceasefire is contingent on the other party fulfilling its obligations to end the siege and pay the salaries of employees.

The remarks came during a phone call with the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s senior assistant, Ali Asghar Khaji.

They discussed the latest developments related to the peace process in Yemen and the difficulties that prevent it from being achieved.

Abdulsalam stressed that the national salvation government wishes to end the crisis and alleviate the suffering and pain of the Yemeni people, adding that the ceasefire is contingent on the other party fulfilling its obligations to end the siege and pay the salaries of employees.

Abdulsalam criticized the obstacles caused by the Saudi-led coalition, represented in the failure to fulfill the obligations of the armistice.
