A number of tribal militants were killed and others wounded on Sunday as a result of violent clashes erupted in Abida valley area of Ma’rib province.
Tribal source told Yemen Press Agency that the confrontations erupted between tribal gunmen from “Al Hatik” and others from “Al Faraj” with heavy and medium weapons, leaving dead and wounded, without revealing accurate statistics.
The sources confirmed that the confrontations occurred against the background of a dispute over land.
This comes after a week of similar tribal fighting between Al-Damashiqa and Al Maeli tribes in Abida valley, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition and Islah Party militants.
