Southern Transitional Council factions clash near Aden

Violent clashes erupted between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions, during the early hours of Sunday morning, in the city of Aden.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources, militants loyal to the commander of the emergency commander in Khormaksar district, Mahmoud Sabira, boarded a military pickup launched an attack on security guards of Khormaksar Police Station, in order to free a prisoner there.

The clashes left many injuried from both sides, one of the sources said, adding that the security forces were able to arrest two of the attackers, while the rest managed to escape.

Aden and other occupied governorates suffer from the deteriorating living and economic conditions and the spread of armed groups of all kinds in light of the ongoing conflict between the wings of the invaders and occupiers on the ground.
