National Salvation Government of Yemen reveals details on brand new missile systems

The National Salvation Government’s forces have on Thursday unveiled a new homemade missile system that has entered service.

A military source said that the missile system included 10 homemade missiles, which were revealed in the military parade in Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana’a, on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the September 21 revolution.

According to the sources, the names and specifications of the new missiles, which are as follows:

Badr 2 missile, a short-range, solid-fueled missile

Badr 3 missile, a medium-range, solid-fueled

“Hatam” ballistic missile, long-range and solid-fueled

“Quds-3”, a winged, long-range cruise missile that operates on liquid fuel, and is distinguished by its ability to hide from radar detection.

“Falaq” ballistic missile, a long-range liquid-fueled ballistic missile, carrying several heads

“Karrar” ballistic missile, with a range of 300 km, solid fuel and intelligent guidance system, with a warhead weight of half a ton.

Maraj “surface-to-air” missile, developed from the Badr-1-P missile, operates on solid fuel, has two thermal and radar systems, is not affected by interference.

“Red Sea” surface-to-sea missile, developed from “Sa’eer” missile, operates with two thermal and radar systems, and is characterized by its high speed.

“Mohit” a surface-to-sea missile, developed from “Qaher-2M” missile, works on solid and liquid fuels and is characterized by its practical ability in all weather conditions.

“Asef” surface-to-sea missile, works on solid fuel, with an intelligent guidance and control system, and the weight of its warhead exceeds half a ton.
