Saudi-led coalition forces evacuate separatist camps in Hadhramaut

The government loyal to Saudi-led coalition began on Wednesday evacuating the last of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s brigades from Hadhramaut province,

This is coinciding with the escalation of tribal demands for the exit of those forces stationed west of Mukalla city.

A military committee affiliated with the Ministry of Defense in the pro-coalition government arrived at “Barashid” Camp.

Southern media, quoting sources in the defense ministry of the pro-coalition government, reported that the committee informed the brigade leadership to prepare to move to the neighboring province of Shabwa.

This move came two days after a demonstration by “Al-Hamom” tribes, the largest tribes of the Hadhramaut coast, to demand the exit of the brigade.

The brigade’s exit stated that it was done with the STC’s approval to pressure the removal of the forces of the First Military District stationed in the oil-rich province, whose exit the tribes require in return for the exit of the Barashid Brigade.
