Member of the Yemeni negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, has described the West’s sanctions as “economic terrorism that goes beyond the politicisation of the economy.”
“The West criticised the Arabs’ ban on exporting oil to countries supporting Israel in 1973 and considered it a form of “politicising the economy and turning oil into a weapon,” and yet today the torrent of sanctions has reached to the extent of banning cats and books of literature,” Al-Ajri said on Twitter.

He pointed out that this phenomenon has gone beyond the politicisation of the economy to a new form of terrorism.
“An economic terrorism that will outweigh all other forms of terrorism in terms of damages.”
