69 Yemeni fishermen released from Eritrean captivity return to Hodeidah

At least 69 Yemeni fishermen, who had been detained by the Eritrean authorities in the international waterway or Yemeni territorial waters for 4 months, arrived on Sunday at Hodeidah province.

General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea said in a statement they were tortured and only given one meal per day inside Eritrean jails, which is not suitable for a human being.

The statement stressed the keenness of the local authority to alleviate their suffering and to stand by them.
