Armed gunmen believed to be affiliated with the UAE-funded militia broke into a shop and robbed it in the city of Aden, southern Yemen,
Local sources familiar with the issue said that the armed gang stormed the Al-Nasr Sweets Store in Sheikh Othman area, and looted the money at gunpoint.
The sources indicated that the armed gang fired live bullets randomly during the robbery, without recording any injuries among workers.
This comes in conjunction with the comprehensive strike being carried out by Sheikh Othman merchants and the closure of their shops in protest against the abuses and the imposition of exorbitant royalties and levies by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in the city.
The city of Aden has been witnessing a security chaos amid the spread of armed gangs from the UAE-backed militia, which tended to loot the money and property of citizens due to the interruption of their dues by the coalition.
