The leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, has on Monday praised the General Authority for Zakat for organizing the third collective wedding for 10,044 brides and grooms from the capital and the rest of the Yemeni province.
During the celebration ceremony, the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al- Houthi congratulated the grooms and brides on the occasion of their marriage, wishing them a happy life.
He urged the people of the community to pay attention to facilitating marriage and reducing its high costs at the level of dowries exert more efforts to facilitate the marriage costs, praising the General Authority for Zakat for its great efforts in this great celebration.
“The General Authority for Zakat executes projects maintaining dignity for Yemeni people, unlike foreign organizations that have exploitative agendas,” he said.
“The US and the enemies of Islam are against Zakat and worked on changing its purpose to lose its value among society.”
He added, “the enemies of Islam see an advantage by making marriage difficult because they seek to spread corruption among us.”
Sayyid Al-Houthi considered that many additional customs and obligations to celebrate marriage are heavy burdens on the large segment of society and making marriage difficult.
He recommended the community to embody its faith identity and religious affiliation in organizing weddings and to avoid anything that affects this identity.
