Israeli occupation warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting the central Gaza Strip early Friday, Palestinian media reported.
According to the media, Israeli warplanes attacked with at least 10 missiles a Palestinian resistance location in the Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, causing destruction and fire to erupt at the site, at dawn today.
Sources reported that the bombardment caused destruction to some neighboring houses, shops and a power cut in the camp.
In a statement, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas resistance group, announced its air defense system had confronted the Israeli aggression on Al-Maghazi.
For its part, the Israeli occupation military claimed that the strikes targeted a “unique” underground rocket manufacturing facility used by Hamas with 19 tons of munitions.
Israeli media reported that the strikes came hours after four rockets were launched at the occupied territories from Gaza.
