Mahdi al-Mashat, the head of Supreme Political Council and President of Yemen, confirmed on Monday, that “the American role in the truce ongoing negotiations is dangerous.”
“The truce situation today is like a ticking time bomb. We are not in a truce, nor at war,” he during the inauguration of the Code of Professional Conduct and Work Ethics in Public Service Units.
He pointed out that “the state of no peace and no war is the result of the US-Saudi aggression recognition of failure and of some pro-Saudi parties thinking of reconsidering ending the conflict.”
“We are facing parties that benefit from the US-Saudi aggression, and it is now pushing to explode the situation, militarily and politically,” he added.
He pointed out that the truce negotiations have reached a level of good understanding, at least up until the US envoy arrived in the region and started thwarting these efforts, stressing that “the US envoy is trying to appear in the media as someone wants peace, while his movements confirm the opposite.”
