Lebanese parliament fails to elect president for seventh time in a row

The Lebanese Parliament on Thursday failed to choose a president for the country for the seventh time in a row.

This prompted Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, to set a session next Thursday, December 1, as a new date for an eighth session to elect the president of the republic.

Lebanon is entering its fourth week with the position of the country’s president being vacant, after the term of President Michel Aoun ended on October 31.
