Electricity providers in Aden warn total shutdown of services is imminent

Aden Electricity announced, Monday, that the process of supplying power stations in the governorate with diesel fuel and crude oil has stalled, warning that the power station will be completely out of service.

The Corporation renewed its appeal to pro-Saudi government, to expedite the provision of fuel for the power stations, including diesel and crude oil for the “MetroMasila” station, before going out of service.

It indicated that its appeal came after all concerned parties were unable to provide fuel this led to the exit of 40% of the current generation stations in Aden Electricity and the increase in the hours of outages in the city.

The city of Aden has been witnessing continuous power outages since the US-Saudi aggression took control of the city in May 2015.
