Yemen mocks US Envoy’s statements accusing Sana’a of blocking peace process

Officials in the National Salvation Government in Sana’a mocked on Wednesday the statements made by the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, in which he accused Sana’a of obstructing reaching a political agreement or renewing the truce.

Minister of Information, Daif Allah al-Shami, responded to Lenderking’s statemen by saying ” that the only solution in Yemen is a Yemeni-Yemeni political process. Sana’a is butting heads and not negotiating with feet.”

For his part, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Ali al-Qahoum, described Lenderking’s remarks, which he presented before the House of Representatives, as a policy of hypocrisy, lies, misleading, and the consolidation of the procedure and the continuous aggression towards Yemen.

“What Lenderking presented to the House of Representatives is clear evidence of aggressive behavior, exposed approach, duplicity, and double standards, as well as clear arrangements for escalation that are contrary to peace,” he added.
