Ukrainian Interior Minister amongst 16 killed in helicopter crash

At least 16 people, including Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, were killed in a helicopter crash near the capital Kiev on Wednesday, Ukrainian police report.

The crash took place in the Ukrainian city of Brovary, Sputnik News reported. It added that Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky and his first deputy Yevgeny Erin were killed in the accident.

At least 16 people, including two children, were killed and another 22 received injuries as a result of a helicopter crash in Brovary city in Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine said on Wednesday.  The head of the Kiev regional military administration, Oleksiy Kuleba said that a helicopter crashed in Brovary near a kindergarten and residential buildings.
