Dozens of activists from the so-called Sons of the Hijaz have organised a protest outside Saudi embassy in the British capital, London, on Wednesday, during which they announced the establishment of what they called the Hijazi Parliament with the support of Arab and Islamic figures
In the statement, it announced its establishment on Thursday, calling the Islamic nations to support it with the aim of spreading awareness about the issue of the Islamic sanctities in the Hijaz lands.
The statement called for the recovery of the honourable antiquities that were destroyed, and the facilitation of pilgrimage for Muslims who are prevented from performing their holy rituals.
It referred to “the condition of the honourable Hijaz and the systematic attacks since a century ago, by erasing the traces of Islam from the homes of the Prophet and his family.”
The statement pointed to “the project of demolishing and displacing the people of the Hijaz and attack against the tribes’ property, that date back thousands of years and expropriating it from them, claiming that the Hijaz is the home of the ancient Israelites.”
It confirmed that Zionists recently entered the Prophet’s Mosque, and roamed around in Mecca, the Sacred Land, while the Muslims did not move to stop the danger looming over the noble Hijaz.
The founding statement noted the “confiscation of millions of square meters of the sacred Hijaz lands and the handover of them over under the pretext of investment to Zionist companies and Gulf nationalities,” calling on the Islamic nation to “stop the great danger to the sanctities of Muslims.”
