Saudi-backed Forces Clash With Local Tribes Near Al-Sabiha Province, 15 Killed and Wounded

Informed sources reported casualties from recent confrontations that erupted between the so-called “Dara Al-Watan,” Nation Shield Forces (NSF), established by Saudi Arabia from extremist Salafi groups, and the gunmen of the Al-Sabiha tribes, west of Lahj province.

According to the sources, the clashes left about 15 dead and wounded, most of them pro-Saudi forces.

The sources indicated that the tribal gunmen rejected the establishment of military sites run by the so-called ” First Brigade of NSF” in Jabal Kharaz in the Sabaiha area between Ras al-Ara and Aden adjacent to the coasts of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Meanwhile local sources said that members of the “NSF” were ambushed by gunmen from the “Security Belt Forces” affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the Sabiha area, which led to deaths and injuries in their ranks.

The sources pointed out that the Saudi forces sent military reinforcements from the western coast towards the sea road in the Al-Madaribah Wa Al Arah District, west of Lahj.
