Seismologists warn for possible upcoming earthquake on the Anatolian Plate in early March

Dutch researcher and seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets and Iraqi geologist Saleh Mohammed Awadh have issued a warning about an upcoming earthquake in the first week of March.

“A convergence of critical planetary geometry around 2 and 5 March may result in large to very large seismic activity, possibly even a mega-thrust earthquake around 3-4 March and/or 6-7 March,” Frank Hoogerbeets said on his Facebook page.

As for the Iraqi scientist, he said that “there is a possibility of an earthquake based on physical calculations, and it is expected on March 8, but it will be less devastating than the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, which occurred on February 6.”

He explained that the prediction of the earthquakes is based on a set of indicators and calculations, and accordingly advice is directed for the concerned authorities.

“The Anatolian Plate is weak and dangerous, and earthquakes began to spread after the devastating earthquake in Turkey, and the plate is exposed to more than 200 tremors related to devastating earthquakes,” he elaborated

“There is a spread of earthquakes on the Eastern Anatolian Plate, and the position of the moon on March 8 will be the same as on February 6, but the next earthquake will causes less casualties due to the distance of the planets Venus, Jupiter and Mars.”
