Abu Hammam al-Yafei, a commander of the so-called Southern Resistance, deployed monitoring teams around Aden International Airport on Monday evening, local sources in the city of Aden said.
According to the sources, Abu Hammam instructed these teams to monitor the arrival of “Al-Alimi” to Aden airport, and inform the leadership of the “resistance”, which vowed to use force to prevent Al-Alimi from entering Aden.
On Monday, Al-Yafei called on citizens in the southern governorates for armed struggle and wearing military uniforms, in response to the statements of “Al-Alimi”, which included the marginality of the southern issue.
Meanwhile, The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s forces carried out a campaign to remove pictures of al-Alimi from government headquarters, schools and universities.
According to local sources, Abu Hamam Al-Yafei issued warnings to all government offices and branches of ministries in the city, asking them to quickly take down pictures of Al-Alimi and warning them not to reject the instructions.
On Monday morning, a number of government headquarters in Aden witnessed a campaign of burn and take down pictures of Al-Alimi.
