The Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Salvation government, Hisham Sharaf, sent a written message to the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Gebreisos, regarding kidney failure patients in Yemen.
In the letter, the Foreign Minister warned of the dangers of a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of tens of thousands of patients with kidney failure due to the acute shortage of solutions for dialysis sessions, as a result of the war and the comprehensive blockade.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs called on the World Health Organization to interact positively with the requests and efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and Population aimed at preserving the health and lives of patients, by supporting the health sector.
