Armed elements affiliated with the so-called “Southern Resistance” have tightened their control militarily over the port of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, in southern Yemen.
According to media sources, gunmen following the leader of the Southern Resistance, Abdel Nasser Al-Bawah, “Abu Hammam Al-Yafe’i,” tightened their control over the vicinity of the port of Aden amid accusations by the pro-coalition government of looting the port’s revenues without paying the salaries of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) recruits.
The sources added that the “resistance” militants aboard military vehicles carried out a pre-emptive operation to tighten their control over the port before the deployment of the Saudi-backed forces, “Dera Al-Watan” in the port.
