At least three militia memebers of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), including a senior commander, were killed and four injured on Monday in Abyan province, south of Yemen.
Media sources close to the STC reported that unknown gunmen targeted a military vehicle with an explosive device in Wadi Omran area of Mudiyah district, leaving 3 dead, including the leader, Ali Aidarous al-Hard, injuring four others, and damaging the vehicle.
This came after the STC militia carried out large-scale raids on the villages of Al-Jableh area in the same district, under the pretext of searching for wanted persons, and kidnapped nearly 3 civilians from the area.
