Al-Qaeda claims attack on UAE-backed militants

The terrorist Al-Qaeda organization in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has claimed responsibility for the bloody attack on a checkpoint near a military barracks of UAE-backed militias in Shabwah province, eastern Yemen.

This comes less than 24 hours after a checkpoint belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia was subjected to an attack in the “Al-Safra” area of Usaylan district.

The terrorist organization stated in its recent statement that pro-UAE militia members were targeted in an armed attack in Usaylan , Shabwah, which resulted in the death and injury of numerous STC fighters.

On the other hand, the “Aden Independent” channel, speaking on behalf of the STC, admitted that a large number of terrorists attacked a military barracks belonging to the “Fifth Brigade of Shabwah Defense” forces in Al-Safra point in the Usailan district yesterday, on Tuesday, killing three recruits and injuring others.
