A prominent commander in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias died under mysterious circumstances, informed sources reported.
The sources said that the security director of Lahj and one of the STC’s most prominent security and military arms, Saleh Al-Sayed, died suddenly after he fell to the ground in the Fifth Brigade in Lahj province, and he was transferred to the German Hospital in Aden.
It added that Saleh Al-Sayed was not complaining of any illness prior to his death, which raises speculation that he was subjected to an assassination operation.
No official statement was issued by the STC regarding the death of Saleh Al-Sayed, amid expectations that this will be announced in the coming hours.
