President Mahdi al-Mashat calls negotiations with Saudis in Oman “positive”

President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, stated on Saturday that the negotiations with the Saudi delegation, in the presence of the Omani mediation delegation, were positive.

This came during his meeting with the senior state officials today to update them on the latest developments in the talks that took place in the capital, Sana’a, during the past week.

President Al-Mashat indicated that it was agreed to hold a new round of talks with Saudi side after Eid al-Fitr due to the nature of the topics that were discussed.

He stressed that “if the aggression coalition, with America behind it, thinks of resuming military confrontations and obstructing peace steps, Yemen’s hand is the longest and strongest.”

The meeting appreciated the distinguished and effective Omani role in establishing an honorable peace for the Yemeni people and blessed the return of the prisoners to their homeland, calling for the release of all prisoners.

The meeting emphasized the importance of extracting all the rights of the Yemeni people, holding the Saudi-led coalition responsible for everything that resulted from the aggression and blockade.
