Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, met with the head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, in Muscat on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian stated that Tehran welcomes any initiative that leads to the lifting of the blockade on Yemen and the establishment of a comprehensive ceasefire and understanding between political parties.

For his part, Mohammed Abdulsalam said in a tweet: “We met with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian during his visit to Muscat, during which we discussed the latest developments at the national and regional levels.”
“We reviewed efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to make peace in Yemen, and developments on the Palestinian issue,” he added.
Abdulsalam appreciated Iran’s positions in support of peace and stability in Yemen and the region.
