A loud explosion shook the city of Mukalla, the center of Hadhramaut province, in eastern Yemen, on Saturday.
Columns of smoke raised in the sky as a result of the explosion, which left a state of panic and terror among the people.
It is likely that the explosion was caused by a terrorist act.
The unknown explosion comes after the visit of the Saudi commander of the so-called “support and attribution”, Sultan Al-Baqami, to Mukalla, accompanied by the leader affiliated with the General People’s Congress Party, Sagheer bin Aziz, the chief of staff in the Saudi-led coalition-allied government.
