Hadhramaut Province Leader accuses America of using investments as cover for occupation takeover

The governor of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Hadhramaut province, Mabkhout bin Madhi, revealed on Saturday a dangerous American plan in the oil-rich province, eastern Yemen.

This comes a few days after intensive meetings with military leaders from the US Navy.

During a television interview with the UAE-affiliated “Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq” channel, bin Madhi hinted that the plan contradicts Yemeni sovereignty, stating that “the Americans are seeking to take over the province under the cover of investments.”

Hadhramaut is one of the Yemeni provinces in the south and east in which the US forces have fixed bases and deploy mobile military units under the pretext of “fighting terrorism.”
