Minister of Transport presents assessment of Sana'a airport needs

Minister of Transport in the National Salvation Government in Sana’a, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, handed over the UNDP Resident Representative to Yemen, Zeina Ghaleb, an assessment report on the necessary needs of Sana’a Airport.

During his meeting with the UN official today in Sana’a, Minister Al-Durra pointed out the needs of the airport in terms of maintenance and restoration work in the terminals, marina, main and subsidiary runways, and special work in the aviation field and its requirements.

He explained that the submitted evaluation was prepared by technicians and professional specialists from the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority with great experience in the field of civil aviation.

In turn, the UNDP Resident Representative stressed the need for joint cooperation in order to provide the needs of Sana’a Airport, noting that the program will mobilize the necessary funding to provide navigational and security equipment for Sana’a International Airport and Hodeidah Port projects.
