Violent armed tribal clashes erupted on Wednesday in the Tor Al-Baha district of the southern province of Lahj and resulted in deaths and injuries, including civilians.
Local media sources said that violent clashes broke out between gunmen from the “Al-Atwin and Al-Zifitah” tribes in the center of the Tor Al-Baha market against the background of tribal vendetta cases.
The clashes resulted in the killing of three people and the injuring of six others, including civilians, who were transferred to Tor Al-Baha Hospital for treatment.
It is worth noting that the Tor Al-Baha district is living in a state of chaos and insecurity due to the spread of armed gangs that practice the crimes of banditry, looting, and killing against travelers and truck drivers, behind which are officers and recruits in the ranks of the UAE-backed militias.
