Yemeni activists have rallied to demand the reasons behind the absence of celebrations marking the anniversary of Yemeni unity in the city of Aden and the rest of Yemen under the control of Saudi-led coalition.
A number of activists said that the controversy that accompanied the anniversary of Unity Day in Aden disappeared this year significantly, suggesting that there is a single point of view in favor of secession in the areas controlled by the coalition.
For his part, Saif al-Hadri, a leader in the Islah Party, wondered about the secret of the absence of congratulations offered by ministers and officials to the head of the “Presidential Leadership Council”, Rashad al-Alimi, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Unity Day.
Informed sources in Aden have spoken that officials and ministers in the pro-coalition government are talking in closed rooms about the issue of the separation of Yemen as an inevitable matter that cannot be opposed, in light of the emergence of US-British orientations that seek to impose the division of Yemen.
