Supreme Political Council Official Warns US-Saudi-Emirati Coalition Against Supporting Separatist Militias in Yemen

Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, warned on Monday the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition forces against continuing to support the southern separatist militias in an effort to tear the country apart and cause strife among its people.

This came during a festive event, organized by the National Salvation Government today in Sanaa, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Yemeni Unity Day, “May 22”.

Al-Rahwi stated that the May 22nd day represents strength and a will of people to achieve the unity and establish the Republic of Yemen, stressing that “it is not the unity of individuals, parties or groups, but rather the unity of all the people of Yemen who fought for.”

He confirmed that the unity would remain and that there is no concern for it, as indicated by the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat.

“We bear a historic responsibility in defending the homeland and its unity, because defending unity is the responsibility of all of us,” he said.

The member of the Supreme Political Council stated that the Yemeni people will remain in the axis of resistance alongside their brothers in Palestine, Syria, and Iraq and in support of the Palestinian cause.

In turn, the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, noted the great participation in the celebration of this precious national occasion.

Dr. bin Habtoor pointed out that May 22, 1990, would remain an eternal day in the life of the Yemeni people, because it is the day that restored the national, social, and human cohesion of the two parts of the homeland.

He confirmed that Yemen, while celebrating its national day, has not forgotten its national issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

At the end of his speech, Dr. bin Habtoor indicated that the axis of resistance, which extends from Sana’a to Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, constitutes the ring and cordon in confronting the Zionist project in the Arab region.
