The head of the national delegation and Spokesman for Ansarullah Mohammed Abdulsalam congratulated Lebanon, the army, the people and the resistance on the 23rd anniversary of south Lebanon liberation from the Israeli occupation.
“We congratulate Lebanon’s army, people and resistance on the Day of Resistance and Liberation, the day of the first Israeli defeat from an occupied Arab land (southern Lebanon) unconditionally and under the fire of the Islamic Resistance Hezbollah,” Abdulsalam said in a tweet on Thursday.

He added, “Such a defeat represented a milestone in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict, as it was the foundational beginning of successive defeats that pursued an army that had not been defeated before.”
On May 25, 2000, the Israeli occupation army was forced, after long years of a heroic military resistance mastered by Hezbollah, to withdraw unconditionally, from most of the Lebanese territories with the exception of Shebaa Farms and Kfar Shuba Heights.
