Yemen Airways refrains from increasing flights to Sana'a despite Jordanian approval

Yemen Airways in Aden has refrained from increasing civil flights through Sana’a International Airport to Jordan and opening new destinations to Cairo and Mumbai despite the approval of the concerned authorities, informed sources said on Wednesday.

A navigational source confirmed that the Jordanian Aviation Authority and the concerned authorities granted Yemeni Airlines an increase in civil flights through Sana’a Airport by six weekly flights and flights to Cairo and Mumbai.

The Jordanian Aviation Authority approved an increase in flights through Sana’a and Queen Alia International Airports at the end of May 2023, after the approval of the Saudi-led coalition in the middle of the same month, according to the source.

The source demanded that Yemen Airways quickly start operating six weekly flights to Jordan and operate the Cairo and Mumbai lines, holding the company responsible for obstructing Yemeni travelers in the event of non-response.
