Southern Yemeni separatists revealed new Emirati weapons shipments as Hadhramaut conflict continues

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), revealed on Monday that it had obtained new Emirati weapons to resolve the battle of Hadhramaut.

Adel al-Madwary, a prominent journalist affiliated with the STC, posted photos of trucks landing heavy artillery. The STC’s militia is training on them at one of the STC’s bases in Shabwah.

In a tweet on his twitter, he said that the weapons recently arrived from the UAE and that they were allocated for the battle of the oil-rich Hadramout province.

Earlier on Sunday, the UAE said it has sent military aid for its factions in Shabwah with a new batch of equipment, including 60 four-wheel drive vehicles.

The arrangements indicate that the UAE is moving towards resolving the battle of Hadhramaut militarily, especially in light of the continuing disputes over some files with Saudi Arabia in the oil-rich province.
