The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) put forward conditions they demand to be met in return for an end to its escalation in the southern Yemeni city of Aden.
According to media sources, the STC set conditions go the head of the “Presidential Leadership Council” loyal to Saudi-led coalition, demanding in to to dismiss his Prime Minister Moeen Abdul-Malik Saeed and replace him with a loyalist of the STC, as well as the removal of the first military region loyal to the Islah Party from Seiyoun and the rest of the districts of Hadhramaut.
The sources added that the Saudi-backed “President” Rashad al-Alimi had failed to convene a meeting of the leadership council meant to contain the tension.
The sources also pointed out that Saudi Arabia has not issued any firm response to the escalation of the STC at all.
