Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday the date of Eid al-Adha 1444 AH, noting that, Monday, is the beginning of Thu al-Hijjah month, corresponding to June 19, 2023, and that the next Tuesday will be “Arafah Day.”
Abdullah bin Suleiman al-Manea, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and advisor at the Royal Court, confirmed that the month of Thu al-Qi’dah this year will be 29 astronomical days.
According to Al-Manea, the month of Thu al-Hijjah begins on Monday, corresponding to June 19, 2023; and so Tuesday, corresponding to June 27, 2023, is the day of Arafah; and Wednesday, corresponding to June 28, 2023, is the day of Eid al-Adha.
