heading to Mecca to perform Hajj and Umrah for the year 1444 AH.

Informed sources said that Major General al-Razami left the airport accompanied by a number of Sana’a government officials towards Jeddah airport to perform Hajj.

A second group of Yemeni pilgrims left Sana’a International Airport on board a Yemenia Airlines airplane, heading to Mecca to perform Hajj and Umrah for the year around the same time The second group included 180 pilgrims, after earlier 268 pilgrims had already departed for Mecca last Saturday.

Last Saturday’s flight was the first time Yemeni pilgrims can fly towards Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage since 2016. Previously, Saudi authorities and the ongoing war prevented Yemeni pilgrims from fulfilling their religious duty of Hajj.
